Fall Class Registration Begins August 2 for PSI Participants
Step #1 - Student Status
|
New and Former (Returning) Students
If you are enrolling for the first time or did not attend a class at Santa Ana College or Santiago Canyon College during the Spring 2010 semester, you will need to complete the online Admission Application.
|
Continuing Students
If you attended any class(es) at either Santa Ana College or Santiago Canyon College during the Spring 2010 semester, you are considered a "continuing student."
If you attended classes prior to the Spring 2010 semester, you are considered a "former (returning) student" and need to follow the instructions for new students.
(PSI Seminars are Santa Ana College classes)
|
Step #2 - Admission Application
|
New and Former (Returning) Students
You must fill out the online Admission Application on the Santa Ana College website at www.sac.edu. Click on Apply Online at the top of the home page.
Note: Your application will be processed through the CCCApply.org automated system in about 48 hours. Your User ID and Student ID# will be emailed to you once you are processed and in the system. When you receive your User ID, return to this page and go to Step #3.
|
Continuing Students
You do not have to complete another application online.
Note: Your new User ID and new Student ID# can be found at www.sac.edu.
Select:
1. Register Online
2. Fall 10 Online Records
3. Online Records/Registration
4. Sign in with your old Student ID# (or SS#) and date of birth. You will see your new User ID and Student ID#.
|
Step #3 - Seminar Registration
|
To register for one or more seminars, you need your User ID to log in. Click on Online Registration below to access your account in the new WebAdvisor program. You will be able to search class offerings and register for open class sections. Note 1: Select Fall 2010, Santa Ana College, and BUSM-Business Seminars when searching for your seminars. It might help to make a note of your desired course AND section numbers before starting. Note 2: There is a very good Student WebAdvisor Help Manual on the WebAdvisor home page.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are using Internet Explorer 8, you might experience problems when trying to register for seminars in the Web Advisor program. A possible solution would be to select Tools from the top menu of your browser and click on the Compatibility option. This will make Web Advisor think you are using Internet Explorer 7. If this does not work, please use a computer that is running IE 7 or an earlier version.

Additional Information
| Fees |
Fees are always collected during the first class session of each seminar offered unless the student's employer has arranged a billing agreement with the College. The PSI staff accepts cash or check only, no credit cards. Until the semester begins, Aug. 23, you will NOT be able to pay in advance. This has been set up so PSI participants are not subjected to the Pay or Drop policy. Once the semester is under way, you CAN pay in advance. Current California community college tuition is $26.00/unit. The following lists PSI costs in both cases.
0.2 unit seminar, which meets 8 hours = $5.20
0.4 unit seminar, which meets 16 hours = $10.40

Adding and Dropping
Seminars
|
Adding or dropping seminars is a process open throughout the semester. You can add a class(es) right up to the day before the seminar starts through your WebAdvisor account (see Online Registration above) provided there is still space available.
If you are unable to attend a seminar, please use your WebAdvisor account to drop the class. This will allow other students to attend.
|
| California Residency Requirements |
If you have not resided in California for one year prior to
August 23, you will be required to pay an additional non-resident tuition fee. Please contact the PSI Office (714-241-5823) for more information.
|
| Certificates of Completion |
A "Certificate of Completion" will be given to each participant upon successful completion of a seminar. Successful completion of a seminar is determined by a student's fulfillment of the attendance requirement. |
